Beach Rules

Dogs are prohibited at Wingaersheek from May 1 through September 30. From October 1 through April 30 they are allowed under the owner's control, and off leash all day only on odd numbered days. Two unleashed dogs per owner maximum, one leash carried per dog, licensed and vaccinated with tags on, no dogs under four months, and no dogs or people in the dunes.

Alcohol is prohibited on all Gloucester city beaches, parks and parking lots unless separately licensed and permitted.

Open fires of any type are prohibited. Gas and charcoal grills are allowed only at Stage Fort Park, not here.

Tents and shelters are not allowed. Sun shades and umbrellas are the only exceptions, and umbrellas must be properly anchored. Sleeping or camping on the beach between 9pm and 8am is prohibited.

Bottles and glass of any kind are prohibited on the beach and in the beach parking lots.

Radios, portable stereos and boom boxes are prohibited. Personal listening devices with earphones are fine.
