The Sanibel Fire & Rescue District issues beach campfire permits only from November 1 through February 14 each year, for a fire no larger than 3 feet across and at least 30 feet from any structure or wooded area, burning 5pm to midnight.
All public parks, beaches, parking lots and public access points owned by the City of Sanibel are designated smoke and vape free.
The city's general noise ordinance applies island-wide, including the beach. Playing music audible beyond 50 feet is presumed a violation from 10pm to 7am Monday through Saturday, and after noon on Sunday until 7am Monday.
