No animal may be brought onto the beach or the adjacent water.
Bonfire permits are for town residents only, restricted to Beach Park, banned May 1 through October 31 during turtle season, and must be extinguished by midnight.
Tents, cabanas, canopies and awnings are banned on the public beach by default, with exceptions the town commission can grant at Beach Park and Moon Park, or a condo association can authorize on its own stretch of beach. Umbrellas over 7 feet across are treated the same as a tent.
Use of tobacco is prohibited on any part of the town's beach.
Fishing is a protected customary use of the dry sand beach. Shore based shark fishing is banned town-wide regardless of permit.
