Dogs are prohibited on Nauset Public Beach, and on the stretches immediately north and south of the parking lot down to Trail 1, from April 1 through Labor Day. South of Trail 1 down to the Chatham Inlet dogs are allowed year round but must be on a leash of 30 feet or less from April 1 through Labor Day. Dogs are prohibited in shorebird closure areas at all times.
Alcohol is absolutely prohibited at Nauset Beach at any time.
Open fires are absolutely prohibited at any time.
Erecting tents is prohibited at Orleans beaches and parks, as is parking trailers and overnight camping or sleeping.
Drones and kite flying are allowed on the beach or in the water only in an area a lifeguard designates.
Fishing and surf casting are permitted only in the specified areas. Scuba, skin diving and other underwater swimming are prohibited in designated swimming areas.
