The state park fee is $10/car for all fields. Empire Passport holders park free -- worth it if you visit state parks more than twice a season.
West End 2 is the insider move for uncrowded beach and easier parking. The sand is identical; the crowds are not.
Call the park line before driving out: (631) 785-1600. They announce lot closures when fields hit capacity.
