Deerfield Beach

Beach Rules

Dogs, drinks, fires and drones at this beach, answered for right now.

DogsNot allowed

Dogs and other domesticated animals, leashed or not, are banned from the municipal beach and the sidewalks abutting it, aside from ADA-recognized service animals.

AlcoholNot allowed

Bringing or drinking alcoholic beverages on the beach is banned unless a city special-events permit specifically authorizes it for that event.

Fires & grillsNot allowed

Open fires and barbecue grills are banned outright on the municipal beach, with no designated fire-pit exception.

Tents & shadeDepends, by area

Tents or canopies larger than 10 by 10 feet are banned absent a special event, and no tent, canopy or umbrella of any size may be up from dusk to dawn.

GlassNot allowed

Glass containers may not be brought onto the beach for any reason other than medical treatment.

SmokingNot allowed

Smoking is banned anywhere within the boundaries of the municipal beach.

FishingNot right now

Fishing off the beach, including with cast nets, is banned every day from 8am until dusk, then allowed overnight until 8am the next morning. Dusk shifts with the season, so this site treats the evening cutoff conservatively (assuming a late summer dusk) rather than guessing a fixed time.

Allowed again from 9 PM
Amplified musicNot allowed

An outdoor loudspeaker or amplifier plainly audible 50 feet or more from its source is banned on the beach, absent a special event application.
