Take the subway. The D, F, N and Q trains all run to Coney Island-Stillwell Ave -- free with MetroCard, 40 minutes from midtown Manhattan.
If you must drive, arrive before 10 AM on summer weekends. All lots fill by noon and street parking becomes a hunt.
The $35/day lot fee is real money for a free beach. The subway math is $2.90 each way.
Brighton Beach has easier street parking -- walk west on the boardwalk from there.
happy hunting
Lot locations, counts, rates and hours are real, geocoded from each address. No live space-count feed is published, so availability is estimated from typical beach crowds and today’s weather. Your location is used only in your browser to sort by distance.
Main parking at Coney Island Beach: MCU Park Parking Lot ($35/day (summer)) and Stillwell Ave Municipal Lots ($25-35/day). Check today’s water, surf and UV on the conditions page.
