Beach bonfires on the Harrison County Sand Beach need a temporary permit from the Sand Beach Authority, which costs $25 and is non-refundable. The fire must be at least 100 feet south of the seawall and at least 100 feet from any wooden structure, kept small (3 feet high and 6 feet wide) and attended by an adult of 18 or older until it is out, with no pallets or wood with nails, and no fires in bird sanctuary areas. The permit must be in your possession at the time of the burn.
