There is no big cruise dock at Popham -- the Kennebec River tours leave from Bath, and the puffin and whale boats leave from Boothbay Harbor, about 50 minutes east.

Seguin Island trips are seasonal and volunteer-supported -- check ahead, and only attempt the landing in calm conditions.

The Kennebec runs hard at its mouth; boat and fishing trips time the tide, and the water can turn quickly off Fort Popham.

Everything here is seasonal, roughly late May through October -- confirm schedules before you drive out to this remote peninsula.
