During racetrack season (July through September) Del Mar parking is extremely tight - use the Coaster train or arrive before 9 AM.
Free 2-hour street parking is available on Camino del Mar village blocks after the metered hours end.
Torrey Pines State Beach to the south has a larger lot but charges $15 to $25 - good overflow option when Del Mar is full.
The 15th St lot is the best balance of proximity and availability outside of peak summer hours.
