Launch from the Lanikai beach paths before 9 AM — the bay is glassy and the paddle to the Mokuluas takes only 20 minutes.

Land only on Moku Nui (the north Mokulua) — Moku Iki is a bird sanctuary with no landing allowed.

Watch for sea turtles resting on the outer reef; federal law requires a 10-foot buffer.
